Spice Objects
In the back Dieter Roth has recreated some spice objects similar to the ones he made around 1970: the four storey Gewürzkubikel (spice cubicle), filled with various spices, the slightly lower Knoblauchtruhe (chest of garlic) and the narrow high Anis-Uhr (aniseed clock). Dieter Roth changed the original floorplan by knocking down walls thus creating openings in walls and walkways as he needed them. The walls´ edges he left unrendered apart from sealing them with clear varnish. On the back wall of the building we see a large Inselbild (island painting) made of food items. Next to it the Schokoladenküche (chocolate kitchen) is set apart by a Perspex pane.
